One winner each month will be awarded $100 from People's First Community Bank and $100 gift certificate to Latin Quarter at Universal Citywalk . Each monthly honoree will also be qualified to win the yearly grand prize of $1000 from People's First!
Heroes Among Us Examples
IMPACT TO THE COMMUNITY: An individual associated with a current project or long-term endeavor which either improves or impacts the lifestyle of residents of this community.
PUBLIC SERVANT: A member of this community's police department, fire department, or someone involved with emergency preparedness that, in some way, has benefited the safety of the community in performing a heroic act.
HEROIC ADULT: Someone over twenty-one years old who has performed an act of heroism which has impacted the community and/or its residents.
HEROIC YOUTH: Someone under twenty-one years old who has performed an act of heroism which has impacted the community and/or its residents.
HEALTH or MEDICAL: Someone in the health or medical field who has helped to save a life or performed an act of heroism.
EDUCATION : A teacher or instructor of a local school or college (public or private) who, through their profession, has impacted the learning process of students (collectively or individually) in the community in which they teach.
MILITARY: A member of the military who has shown an act of heroism in some way that has served the residents of a community in which they live and/or in some way benefits the country as well.
